The burglars allegedly attacked by chance The attackers, who are suspicioned to be Ukrainians, have stolen approximately € 65,000 (Lei 280,000) and the weapons of the men from the vehicle. An amount of approximately € 9,000 (Lei 40,000) was found in an abandoned car, in a forest nearby. The G4S representatives affirm that the employees stopped the vehicle because the road was blocked by 3 cars, one of them with Police inscriptions. As a matter of fact, the attackers were wearing jackets similar to the ones of the policemen and they simulated a traffic control. They stopped several cars and asked for the driving licenses, according to witnesses. When one of the escorts opened the door to show the papers, the burglar revealed a machine-gun and threatened the 3 occupants of the car. According to Maramure's Police representatives, the G4S employees didn't follow the special rules for transporting such values: they stopped the car, and got out of it. They shouldn't have done that, not even if a policeman asks them to do it. (Mediafax) |
