Contemporary dance, opera music, and -- of course -- public reading is on the menu of Wolfgang Klein's new book launch event in Cluj city.
The Spring of Happiness (Izvorul Fericii in Romanian and Quellen des Glücks in German) comprises a number of 28 short stories. Mr Klein's fourth book was published originally in German, and appears now in Romanian translation.
German Klein was born in the city of Sibiu (Southern Transylvania) in 1856, and, for the past 20 years, has been living in Germany.
The Romanian version of his Spring of Happiness is to be launched in Cluj (Central Transylvania) twice: First on Thursday, 22nd October 2009 at Ethnography Museum, followed by a second action on Sunday 25th in the Janis Stuf club.
Actor Ionut Caras will read a few stories from Wofgang Klaus' book, and the music/dance performance will be offered by sopranas Dana Pacurar and Adela Zaharia, the bass Petre Burca, and pianist Horvath Zoltan.
The double event is being organised by the cultural associations Classus Art Promotion and Dellart.
